TEXAS SCHOOL EMPLOYEE FACES FELONY CHARGES

According to a report from KSAT-TV, the latest alleged event took place in a Charlotte Independent School District high school, where Pesqueda was removed from campus back in February and questioned by police.

According to the Pleasanton Express, Pesqueda was working as an aide at the time. A parent told the Express the pot-laced treats included baked goods and other edibles, and police said the distribution took place off campus.

She wasn't formally charged until Thursday, March 9 after tests of items that were seized as part of an investigation into the allegations. She was, however, fired by the district on the day of her removal.

She's been charged with nine counts of delivery of a controlled substance - marijuana.

I WANT TO KNOW WHY THE DISTRICT HIRED HER IN THE FIRST PLACE AFTER...

The KSAT story goes on to say that Pesqueda was fired by the Pearsall Independent School District back in May after video surfaced of multiple occasions on which she reportedly grabbed a pre-school child with special needs by the hair or the shoulder.

there’s a population of under 2000 people this is a very small town but it is still a very big deal. Feleasha had previously worked in another school district but found herself being fired for assaulting a preschool child with special needs.

(I’m finding it very hard to understand why anybody would hire someone after hearing about an assault on any child.)

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN THESE SCHOOLS?

Something about this story felt familiar, and after a little Googling, I remembered why.

Back in fall of 2022, a pre-school teacher in Proper, Texas was arrested, and police say she admitted to bringing a baggie of THC gummies to class. Unfortunately, four children managed to get their hands on some of those candies, and were admitted to a hospital. They were later released.

HOW BAD CAN AN EDIBLE BE?

Believe it or not, you can get in more trouble for being caught with THC edibles than marijuana.

According to Doug Murphy Law Firm, possession of small amounts of marijuana would likely get you a misdemeanor charge if it's not decriminalized in your area, but THC concentrates and other marijuana extracts are classified in felony penalty groups.

For example, the firm says, being caught with even one THC gummy bear could get you anywhere from 180 days to 2 years in prison. The reasoning is that these extracts cause a more potent effect on the user's brain.

So for now we say "Bye, Feleasha", and either avoid edibles or keep them to yourself.
