The Central Texas Food Bank needs community help now more than ever.

Hannah Hall with our partners at KWTX-TV reports that the food bank served a record-breaking number of people in November, and they're expecting an increase throughout 2021.

Unfortunately, it's common to see a rise in numbers during the winter months, but due to Covid-19 and a host of other issues, numbers are expected to stay high.

The Central Texas Food Bank is accepting donations, and they ask that you donate online for convenience and safety. All donations are welcome, so visit their website for more details. Right now, the food bank is matching holiday donations, so this is a great time to donate and make sure your dollars go further and help the most people.

While you're on their website, take a look at the Volunteer section. If you're looking to help out and do some positive work in your community, they could always use some extra hands.

The Get Help section can direct you to resources that can assist your family during these trying times. We're all feeling the impact of the ongoing pandemic, and if you've been hard hit, don't hesitate to reach out for help. You'll get through this, and your friends and neighbors are there to help.

Thanks to all the organizers and volunteers at the Central Texas Food Bank. You're doing fantastic and essential work right now as the people of Central Texas weather the storm.
