Central Texas College Warns of Phone Scam

Yet one more reason not to answer the phone to an unknown caller.

Central Texas College representative Bruce Vasbinder issued a warning Monday that there's a possible phone scam happening to the folks of Central Texas.

The scammers tell the caller that they are members of the CTC campus police department collecting donations.

CTC wants you to know that their campus police are not conducting any fundraisers and are not soliciting for donations of any kind. You are advised to ignore such requests and not divulge any confidential information, I.E. credit card info, bank account info, or other personal information.
