The Killeen Police are asking the community for help finding a person of interest in one of the 18 homicides that occurred in 2021.

Last year here in Killeen, homicides took a dip.
Our partners at KWTX report there were 31 total homicides in Killeen in 2020. In 2021, that number dropped to 18.
Earlier this year, Killeen councilwoman Melissa Brown told KWTX stopping crime in Killeen is on the community too, stating:
Besides the citizen involvement, we really need to find out how we can help our police department retain officers and gain new officers and then get the community that’s actually going to support them and give information so we can solve these crimes, solving them will go a long way towards showing people, you can’t do this, and Killeen, you will get caught and there will be penalties.
Killeen Police Need Your Help Finding A Person Of Interest
Back on December 21st, 2021, a homicide occurred on Cardinal Avenue in Killeen and the detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division - Homicide Unit need your help identifying a person of interest.
Keeping in mind what councilwoman Brown said about others in the community helping to stop crime, KPD and Bell County Crime Stoppers are hoping you'll come forward if you recognize the person in the sketch above.
Killeen Detectives would like to speak to him, and believe he may have information that will lead to an arrest in that case.
