The search continued Thursday for a boater reported missing on Lake Travis in Burnet County.

According to reports from CBS Austin, Texas game wardens were notified of a reported missing person at approximately 11 AM on Wednesday.

Texas game wardens, the Lower Colorado River Authority, and the Burnet and Travis county sheriff's offices searched for the missing boater until nightfall Wednesday using side-scan sonars, police canines, and unmanned aircraft systems.

The search for the missing boater kicked off again at daybreak Thursday. While initial reports suggested that the missing person was in a kayak, officials recovered what they believe to be the victims boat.

KVUE reports that a body has since been discovered, but has yet to be positively identified as that of the missing boater.
