Many in the state of Texas love Blue Bell ice cream. Everyone has a favorite flavor, and nothing cheers anybody else up faster than a bite of ice cream right? However, lovers of Blue Bell should be aware of a recent recall regarding a certain flavor.

What Caused A Recall Of Blue Bell In The State Of Texas?

According to the U.S Food and Drug Administration, the problem was noticed by a Blue Bell worker. While the unnamed worker was restocking, they discovered an issue with the packaging of the ice cream. To put it simply, the wrong flavor was put into a container.

The container showed the flavor Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, but the lid identified it as Moo-llennium Crunch. Moo-llennium Crunch, as a flavor, was also found inside the container. This results in the product being called back from store shelves.

What Was The Main Reason For The Recall?

Per the FDA, the product having "undeclared almond, walnut, and pecan" in it was the reason for the recall. With these items being in the ice cream and a person having an allergy to those items, they could pose a serious health risk to somebody that could possibly result in loss of life.

If your ice cream has the ID on it of 061027524, then you have the affected product in question. You should, according to the FDA, take the ice cream back to wherever you brought it from, so that you can obtain a refund of the money you spent.

At the time of writing, no medical issues have been reported due to the wrong ice cream being placed in the container. As this is a developing story, we will have more information when it becomes available.
