A few nights ago, I was up late watching the 1976 classic baseball movie "The Bingo Long Traveling All-Stars and Motor Kings" which was one of the big movies starring Billy Dee Williams back in the day. During those days, Billy Dee was one of the biggest movie stars on the planet and the following the success of "Bingo" his next movie would turn him into an international icon.

That next movie in 1980 was "The Empire Strikes Back" the sequel to the mega monster hit "Star Wars" where he played Lando Calrissian, a role he would reprise 3 years later in the next Star Wars film "Return Of The Jedi". Williams has cemented himself firmly into the legacy of the Star Wars franchise and fans are excited that he's been given another chance to play Lando on the big screen nearly 40 years since his debut.

You can catch Billy Dee as Lando in the new Star Wars movie "The Rise Of Skywalker" and they just released a teaser trailer featuring the 83 year old actor. The film hit theaters in December.
