Former Afterschool Employee Arrested in Belton on Child Sexual Assault Charge

According to KCENT, Eloy Fabela, a 23-year-old man from Belton, has been arrested following reports of a sexual assault that occurred after school hours on the campus of Chisholm Trail Elementary School. Fabela is a former Community Assistant (YMCA) employee for an afterschool program in the Belton Middle School District, but he was not an employee of Belton ISD.

After-school Program Co-Operates with Belton Police Following Employee Arrest

It was reported that the YMCA fully cooperated with the investigation. As a result, Fabela was booked into Bell County Jail on first-degree felony charges.

Belton Police Chief Larry Berg stated, "We will investigate any reports of crimes against children in our community." He added, "We take it very personally when someone preys on the innocence of our young victims."
