Bell County Officials Announce No More Donations Needed For Harvey Evacuees
The outpouring of giving, love, and compassion in Central Texas has been tremendous in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. The generosity has been so amazing that Bell County officials are now asking that everyone slow down with donations.
According to The Temple Daily Telegram, Bell County Judge Jon Burrows announced that the needs of more than 400 evacuees have been met and that they are no longer accepting donations at this time along with shelters in the cities of Belton, Harker Heights, Killeen, and Temple.
Judge Burrows also went on to say that once electricity has been restored and the evacuees have returned home, the remaining items will be forwarded to the appropriate locations in Brazoria County and the city of Houston.
Way to go Central Texas! Your giving spirit is shining bright for all the world to see!
