Ashanti to Appear on ‘Law & Order: SVU’

Following artists like Ludacris and 2 Chainz, Ashanti is set to join the cast of 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit' tonight.

Ashanti will guest star on the sex crimes drama in an episode called 'Dissonant Voices.' Per an official press release, the episode is about a singing coach and popular TV personality who is being accused of sexual abuse by his students. “I’m playing a celebrity Judge in the ‘SVU’ world of a singing competition show called ‘American Diva,'” Ashanti explains.

Tune in tonight (Nov. 4) at 9PM ET on NBC to see the songstress put on her acting hat. Watch a preview of the episode below.

Elsewhere, Ashanti is also set to star in a new Lifetime movie, 'Christmas in the City.' The made-for-TV film premieres Dec. 7 at 8PM ET. The singer has recorded a special version of the staple 'Let It Snow' around the network's holiday programming.
