5K Run/Walk For The Homeless In Killeen

There are over an estimated half a million homeless people in America and there are hundreds here in Central Texas who are homeless as well. There are many Americans who are one job loss or incident away from being homeless.

It's easy to ignore the problem but that doesn't help improve a problem that no one should have to suffer with. The Refuge Corporation is seeking to help alleviate the homelessness in our area with their 2nd Annual 5K Run/Walk For The Homeless happening Saturday June 9th beginning at 7:45 a.m. at the Killeen Community Center Andy K. Wells Hike and Bike Trail located at 2201 E. Veterans Memorial Blvd.

Their goal is to raise funds to help The Refuge Corporation with his programs that address homelessness including providing emergency shelter, transitional homes, drug and alcohol programs.
