Once the 40 individuals were arrested during the raid and in the surrounding area, officials confirmed that drugs were involved as part of the multi-agency operation. It is believed that most of those arrested are either members or associates of the hazardous Venezuelan gang known as Tren de Aragua. Several organizations were involved in the raid, including the American Civil Liberties Union, which filed a lawsuit to halt the deportation of Venezuelan nationals under the Alien Enemies Act of 1798.
