Even though the incomparable Whitney Houston passed away in 2012, she will be going on tour soon - as a HOLOGRAM.

The Whitney Houston Estate, being ran by the late singer's sister-in-law, Pat Houston, announced plans for a hologram tour and an album of unreleased material among other projects they have in the works.

The hologram tour which is still in development would feature a laser projected image of Houston with her former backing band (led by her brother Gary, Pat's husband) performing the music. There's also plans for a Broadway-style musical featuring Houston's songs and a new album of unused tracks from her 1985 debut album.

While many in the industry see it as a money grab by the estate (the deal for these projects are estimated to be at $14 million dollars according to The New York Times), the family sees it as a way to restore Whitney's reputation which has taken a hit over the years.

“Before she passed, there was so much negativity around the name; it wasn’t about the music anymore, People had forgotten how great she was. They let all the personal things about her life outweigh why they fell in love with her in the first place.” - Pat Houston via The New York Times

Would you be willing to see a hologram performance of Whitney Houston or do you think this is a "money grab" by the estate?
