Who doesn’t like candy Texas? Everybody loves, to enjoy a sweet treat, if you’re celebrating an accomplishment or maybe had a long day, candy always comes right on time. For some reason, Halloween candy just tastes a little better. I’m not exactly sure if it’s because of the idea of just getting dressed up for Halloween and going trick-or-treating house to house but either way it goes a candy bar from the store just doesn’t hit as good as a candy bar from trick-or-treating.

In Texas, there is one candy that is known as the number one most popular candy to have in the great state. Now if you were thinking it was Candy Corn or Licorice you weren’t thinking let’s be honest both those contenders are a joke especially when you have the likes of  M&Ms, Kit Kat, and Skittles also in the rankings. Even though those three particular brands are definitely the most top-tier when it comes to Halloween candy it’s not Texas's number one candy to eat.

According to NBCDFW, the most popular candy to have in the great state of Texas during the Halloween season would be the only gooey chewy refreshing Starburst. This box shake, fruit flavor soft taffy has always been a fan favorite for Texans. I don’t care if you’re a person who likes the red, yellow, orange, or pink Starburst,  they’re absolutely delicious, and that's what makes Starburst number one. Keep in mind this year when you’re trick-or-treating with your loved ones if you happen to see more Starburst than you see chocolate you know why, it’s the fan favorite.
