THE CITY OF KILLEEN IS READY TO TALK ABOUT BUDGETING

On Thursday, August 17 at 5 PM. The city of Killeen council members will hold a Townhall meeting to discuss the 2024 budget. This event will give residents in the city of Killeen an opportunity to not only learn what is in the proposed budget but allow residents to ask questions and provide plenty of feedback.

LET'S TAKE CARE OF THE BUDGET TOGETHER KILLEEN

This is an invite to all citizens and you are encouraged to join and participate so that you cannot only be informed on how to properly conduct your budget for the 2024 year but also engage with your fellow councilman. These city council meetings can also be viewed live or recorded at www.KilleenTexas gov/council meetings. I know for myself I’ve had a lot of residents in the city ask questions about budgeting, well Killeen hear is your chance to be heard because unfortunately, I didn’t have the answers. This is the perfect opportunity for you to be informed and be a part of your community.

A while back, I asked the good people of Temple if they could picture a good restaurant to fill the lot on North General Bruce Drive where the soon to be torn down Long John Silver's stood.

This was before it was announced that a Dutch Bros. Coffee location would open there (which was one of the places I predicted as a contender in our article).

So now Dutch Bros. is open in that spot, but the responses to my survey were interesting because they paint a picture of just how diverse Temple's population is. People recommended some familiar restaurants with locations in the surrounding area, but also a few I'd never even heard of.
