Texas Schools Warn of Safety Hazards, Ban Crocs from Campuses

The foam, called Croslite, includes little ventilation holes and a back strap to secure the shoe's fit. What is there not to love about a good pair of Crocs? My answer is nothing, but unfortunately, according to The Spin, at least 20 different schools in the United States, including those in Texas, have raised concerns about them.

Texas Schools Remove Crocs from Allowed Footwear for Safety

Now, I know you’re probably thinking, what would make someone want to ban such a comfortable shoe? Unfortunately, the answer is simple: schools feel that they’re not safe. Because of the lack of support and stability, this increases some children’s risk of tripping and falling. This has even caused injuries to ankles. Officials are also concerned that the lack of protection and support could lead to a child stubbing their toe or losing their balance. Even though this shoe is very popular,  Texas schools are saying that safety has to come first, and the ban is beginning here in the great state as we speak.
