
Harker Heights Man Arrested After Alleged “Gunfight” Tax Threat
Killeen, Texas man, Jose Luis Pujols has been arrested on charges after allegedly threatening a gunfight when agents from the Comptroller's Office came to collect taxes from his business, according to Fox44 News.

Local Man's Bizarre Threat During Tax Visit
According to an affidavit, the incident dates back to December 9, two years ago, when agents from the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) were dispatched to Pujols’ business, located in the 700 block of Edwards Drive in Harker Heights. The TABC agents were there to assist officials from the Texas Comptroller’s Office, who had arrived to collect unpaid back taxes. The affidavit states that Pujols began yelling at the comptroller’s officials, claiming they were in the wrong, and allegedly stated that he "needed to teach her a lesson." As his behavior became increasingly belligerent, the TABC agents were instructed to remove him from the situation.

At that point, Pujols allegedly said, "You're not going to take my money, or we're going to have a [profanity] shootout."Larry Wilkey, Justice of the Peace for Precinct 3, issued a warrant for Pujols’ arrest. He has since been booked into the Bell County Jail, where he has remained since Wednesday. Pujols is facing charges of terroristic threat against a public servant, and his bond has been set at $20,000.
