Temple Woman Arrested for Pointing Pellet Gun, Resisting Arrest
It was a tense start to the Labor Day Holiday in Harker Heights Monday as a woman assaulted several residents and officers with a gun.
Chelsea Maleek Jones of Temple is now locked up in the Bell County Jail on charges of making a terroristic threat, causing fear of imminent serious bodily injury, and assault on a public servant.
Her bond is set at $105,000 dollars according to KWTX News 10.
It all started with a call to 9-1-1 early Monday morning after officers got a tip about an armed person in the 300 block of East Knight's Way. After questioning several people they found the Maeek armed with what turned out to be a pellet gun.
Police say several people said Maeek was pointing the weapon at people. When police arrested her, she assaulted officers with her hands and feet.
