Benji Becker has been a coach at Heart of Texas Gymnastics for ten years. With parents and a child with disabilities, he's mindset that everyone deserves equal opportunities comes from the heart.

That's one of the reasons Benji is glad to be a part of his gym and the Belton Independent School District teaming up to hold free gymnastic classes for young adults with disabilities twice a week.

KCENTV introduced us to a couple of the students attending the biweekly classes. Kolby Hobson, 21, loves gymnastics because he can run, jump high and believes he is more confident when in class. His teammate Beth Kahler has made a lot of friendships due to the free classes.

This isn't just a trend here in Central Texas, gyms across the nation are pushing for programs for those with disabilities.

If you would like more info on the program contact BISD's special education program and if you are involved or know of any other great programs here in Central Texas let us know, I would be more than happy to help out in any way.
