TEXAS YOU MAY QUALIFY

Remember conversations like this? "Hey, can you stop at H-E-B on the way home and grab some chicken and bread?" "Sure, need anything else?" "Yeah, but it can wait a few days." Now I imagine planning a trip to the grocery store feels like preparing for urban exploration at Chernobyl. I care for a parent whose lungs took a beating from pneumonia a couple of years ago, so I've been relying on grocery delivery and help from friends to keep her safe, disinfecting everything that comes into the house. I dread the day I have to make a trek out because I worry about bringing something home to mom. Hand washing and sanitizing what we buy are great ways to stay safe and healthy, but when you care for a relative who's particularly at risk, no amount of rational thinking can quiet that little voice of doubt in the back of your mind.

The new law of having a car in Texas could now be a nonfactor which is very beneficial to Texans that are less fortunate. For people who are not familiar with the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program also known as SNAP, it is a program that provides food benefits to low-income families to supplement their grocery budget so they can afford the nutrition food essentials for health and well-being. There are a lot of Texans, who feel that this particular program is definitely essential that is needed especially in low-income homes. For more information about the SNAP program click here.
