Conder Park is a popular spot in Killeen, known for outdoor sports, a skateboarding park, and feeding ducks. However, on February 13, around 5:40 PM, residents found themselves not enjoying the park, but fearing for their safety.

The investigation revealed that a gathering was taking place at the park when a verbal altercation escalated into a shooting. The police department stated that the man who was shot was taken to Baylor Scott and White Hospital. As of now, his condition remains unknown, but the individual accused of shooting him is currently in custody. Authorities have indicated that this incident appears to be isolated and there is no ongoing threat to the community.
