This is a restaurant you know takes time in preparation, and making each dish. Pierino’s in Harker Heights Texas is by far the most delicious Italian food that I’ve had here in Central Texas. You might not be familiar with this particular restaurant because, to be honest, it’s one of those mom-and-pop shops that are truly a hidden gem that should have more recognition.  Pierinos is located at 440 E. Central Texas Expressway Suite 102. If you’ve never had Pierino‘s. You truly are missing out on authentic family-owned Italian food.

Don’t get me wrong, Central Texas does offer other Italian restaurants that are absolutely amazing, but I just found it to be so weird that this particular restaurant wasn’t being talked about. This family-owned restaurant has its own brick oven to make the most delicious items that Italian cuisine has to offer. I recently took my family to Pierino’s where we had pizza like we’ve never had pizza before. This dish consisted of freshly made dough in a brick oven with prosciutto, fresh, mozzarella, and basil and I cannot stress how good this pizza was. Everything in this restaurant is made-to-order and extremely fresh. If you’re a foodie, like myself and you wanna try authentic Italian food, this hidden gem is where you want to be.
