My very first concert as a kid was the "Budweiser Superfest" in New Orleans. The bill was supposed to feature BBD, Tony! Toni! Tone', and Maze Featuring Frankie Beverly. Unfortunately for some reason "The Tony's" didn't show or perform and I was kind of hurt (until I witnessed the power of MAZE for the first time) but it looks like as an adult I can make up for what I may have missed as a kid.

Raphael Saadiq in an interview on Sirius/XM's "Sway's Universe" confirmed that Tony! Toni! Tone'! will be coming back together for a tour. While we don't know when yet, he says that the group has continued working on music throughout the last 15 years and could drop something after he's done with his solo tour.

While "The Tonys" have continued to tour and make music with founding member Dewayne Wiggins (with Dyson Tate Riley and Frank Stickemz) at the lead, its been a while since we've seen all 3 original members (Timothy Christian Riley was the drummer and credited writer of "It Never Rains In Southern California") release new music let alone tour together.

Saadiq is currently touring in support of his new album "Jimmy Lee", his first solo album release in 8 years. Widely regarded as one of the best but unsung songwriters and producer of the last 20 years, Saadiq's new album drops on August 23rd with a new single out right now called "Something Keeps Calling".

Speaking of his tour, He'll be stopping in Austin on September 6th at Mohawk Austin.
