Christmas parties are happening all over the place during the holidays, but there’s only one drink that’s a true crowd-pleaser in Texas—one that everyone gets excited about. Every year, Texans get together to celebrate, enjoy each other’s company, and gather with family. And there is one drink guaranteed to be on the table. And no, it’s not eggnog.

Here Is How You Make The Original Ranch Water

Here in Texas, we love a good Christmas Ranch Water. Ranch Water is a delicious drink that’s not only refreshing, but also incredibly simple. Known as a classic Texas cocktail, it’s usually made with just three ingredients: sparkling mineral water—often Topo Chico—freshly squeezed lime juice (it has to be fresh or it’s not ranch water), and of course, Blanco tequila. In my house, we prefer Don Julio, but either way, just make sure it’s Blanco.

Here Is How Texans Make A Festive Ranch Water

It sounds simple—and it is—but most importantly, it’s delicious. And when you put a holiday twist on it, it becomes even better than you’d expect. Garnished with rosemary and fresh cranberries, Christmas ranch water consists of cranberry juice, sometimes a splash of grapefruit soda, and of course, your favorite tequila—again, it must be Blanco.

Cheers To The Holidays In Texas!

You’re probably saying to yourself, “This sounds like an extremely boring drink.” And I would say to you: you must not be from Texas, because here, this is how we celebrate the holidays.
