The Houston Chronicle reports that narcotics task force officer stopped a woman in Rosenberg, Texas Thursday and seized $237,576 from the back of her SUV, but a lack of details released to the public has many asking why the money was confiscated in the first place.

According to the Chronicle, the woman from Mission, Texas and four children were stopped for a traffic violation on U.S. Highway 59 and later released at the scene. No arrests were made and there are no reports of any illegal substances having been found, but the cash was taken after a "roadside investigation" by narcotics officers.

While it's possible details are being withheld for the sake of an ongoing investigation, people wondering why the money was taken have been sounding off on Facebook. You can read some of their comments below. What are your thoughts?
