The reset button has been hit after the last quarter of 2014's mix of surprises and anticipated releases. In other words, there isn't too much to look forward to in the next few weeks, but there are some solid projects worthy of your attention.

We kick off the year with turn-up wunderkinds Rae Sremmurd, who will release their debut album 'SremmLife' on Jan. 6. The project, which features 'No Type' and 'No Flex Zone,' is currently available for streaming on iTunes Radio.

Joey Bada$$ scores a major hip-hop release with his debut album, 'B4.DA.$$.' He made noise when he dropped '1999' back in 2012, but the lingering question is if he can reach past '90s traditionalism to create something definitive. 'B4.DA.$$' drops on Jan. 20 -- the rapper's birthday. Controversial, but respected, MC Lupe Fiasco releases 'Tetsuo & Youth' on the same day.

There are also some worthwhile R&B and soul releases in between. Kat Dahlia, Ne-Yo and Jazmine Sullivan are all scheduled to deliver new projects this month. Check out the details below.
