The Mission, Texas community is mourning the loss of a young child left in a car.

According to KENS5 news, the child was found dead inside a vehicle outside of an elementary school. The child has not yet been identified, but what we do know is the child was at least five years of age.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CHILD?

At a news conference, officials said the child was found in a parking lot outside Dr. Americo Peredes Elementary School. KENS5 learned that first responders attempted CPR, but they were not able to revive the child.

WE ARE PRAYING FOR MISSION TEXAS

This situation is extremely unfortunate for all of Mission Texas, hopefully, we will have some more information for Texas in regards to this innocent baby, we’re not exactly sure who the parents are of the identified child as of yet as well. I can only hope that they are doing okay once they find out about this unfortunate situation. Also after this horrendous encounter, the La Joya independent school district has also decided that they will be giving counseling services to students and staff at the elementary school. After a situation like this, in particular, a lot of times people become very depressed and I’m not exactly sure what’s the next thing to do so it’s very important to take advantage of counseling if you feel that you need it.
