Considering that I have an insane summer schedule ahead of me, I decided to gas up the ride with my family and take a ride up to Grand Prairie, Texas to check out the Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark recently.

Epic Waters is a HUGE indoor waterpark open year round in Grand Prairie and its a very cool place! It features 11 water slides for kids of all ages (if you can handle it), a lazy river, and the "flowrider" for you "boogie boarders" all under a retractable roof and it also has an outdoor wave pool.

At 80,000 square feet, it may seem like a large place but its very easy to navigate once you get over the spectacle of seeing all of THIS inside one building.

I subjected my ageing body to two of the park's biggest slides: The Prairie Plunge and The Lasso Loop. I don't know which one was which but I do know this, my old butt is better served just sticking to the lazy river.

My best description of this place is imagine Killeen's Family Aquatic Center with a few steroids injected into it. More slides, more things to do and more food options and its all indoors and open year round.

We had a great time and will definitely make for a fun time if you're in the DFW or just want to make a quick day trip. Find out more about Epic Waters at their website here!
