Its becoming more and more clear by the day that Jordan Peele could be as close as we get to being the new "Alfred Hitchcock" with his latest offering "Us" which has dominated the box office in its opening weekend.

"Us" is the story of a family going to the beach for a little rest and relaxation only to be stalked and chased by a family that looks exactly like them but the "evil family" of lookalikes are on a bigger mission that plays out throughout the film.

Let start by saying that I am NOT a fan of the HORROR genre of movies and in all honesty, I don't see this as being a "horror" film. "Us" is suspenseful and very funny at times so if you're expecting "blood and gore" than this is NOT your type of movie.

What I did find with "Us" is that it is very smart and as the plot develops, all will be revealed if you're paying attention. With all the suspense and twists and turns, you'll definitely be paying attention but the thing that stands out to me is, you'll have something to think about once the movie ends.

That's the beauty of Jordan Peele's work thus far including his film "Get Out". He presents angles that will have you leaving the theater in deep thought about not just the movie but society as a whole with characters that EVERYONE no matter what race, can relate to.

I highly recommend you go see "Us", it indeed lives up to its much deserved hype.
