Killeen Man Starts “Feed the Need” to Help Local Families
I love seeing good people doing good things—and that brings me to John Karlik. KWTX recently reported on this incredible gentleman from Killeen who has become a vital part of a local outreach program. Every first and third Saturday, John sets up his truck and a tent to give back to the community in a truly meaningful way.

"Feed the Need" Program Responds to Community Crisis
John shared that seeing people during the Thursday meal service—and witnessing the joy it brings them—deeply moved him. “It hit me right here,” he said, pointing to his heart. “We had to find a way to keep it going.”Once Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers heard about what John was doing, they stepped in to help. They surprised him with a $500 check in recognition of his efforts. This is exactly what community support is all about—people coming together to lift each other. In my opinion, John is doing God’s work.
Killeen Man's Inspiring Efforts to Feed Families
Colleen, a resident of Smith-Fey, nominated John for his impact and unwavering dedication. “When he picked this up, he ran with it,” she said. “He probably feeds 70 to 80 homeless people every other week.”This man deserves recognition.
