Killeen, Texas Man Was Arrested For 2020 murder

According to KWTX, a Killeen man, Mark Anthony Hamilton was arrested because he was allegedly involved in the murder of Tonya, Denise Dixon that took place in 2020.

WHAT HAPPENED IN 2020?

In December 2020 the Killeen Police Department was sent out to go investigate the 300 block of S. 10th St. because a shooting was reported. Once the police made it to the destination, Tonya Denise Dixon was found suffering a gunshot wound and police began performing life-saving measures on the individual until the paramedics arrived. Tonya Dixon was then sent to Baylor Scott and White in Temple, where she was, unfortunately later on pronounced dead according to the police.

WHAT HAPPEN IN 2024?

On Monday, February 12, 2024, her case was shown to the Bell County District Attorney’s office and that is when Mark Anthony Hamilton was charged with murder, which is a first-degree felony. Once the warrant was issued for Mark Anthony, police arrested him in the thousand block of Willow Springs Road without any incident. As of right now, Hamilton is held in the Bell County Jail on a $1 million bond.
