Recent reports and arrests of KISD students sending threats of violence through social media have lead district officials to take action.

Killeen ISD will hold a special meeting on March 21st at Harker Heights High School for parents and community members regarding Internet and social media safety for children and the consequences that students will face if they make a threat against a school.

The meeting is designed to provide parents and students the latest information about dangerous social media apps and websites, and the types of trends in online dangers that law enforcement officials are seeing.

In addition, officials will talk to parents and students about the very real and damaging consequences that students will receive if they make a threat against students, staff or the school in general.

The meeting begins at 6:00 PM and for more details visit KISD's Facebook Page.
