Recently, the city of Killeen announced that on Tuesday the Killeen City Council approved Kate McDaniels as executive Director of human resources and Antonio Murphy as executive Director of parks and recreation. Announcement for both positions was presented on Tuesday, August 21 at the council meeting and council members were able to not only meet and question the candidates but congratulate both publicly.

She is the best of the best. 15 years ago, she was employed by the city of Killeen and has worked as the risk manager and has assisted with creating several projects, programs, and Systems.

"The city of Killeen offered me my first job when I moved here and it felt like home ever since, "says McDaniel. Antonio Murphy was selected by city manager Cagel, himself as the next executive Director of Parks and Recreation. Antonio Murphy is no stranger to the position as he has been familiar with Parks and Recreation for 20 years. Murphy stated that he wanted to "thank the executive management team for the endorsement of his skill set to be able to come and lead such a vibrant growing entity with many rises of success."
