Famed light-night show host, David Letterman has been playing the cut for the last few years, after ending his run as the host of the Late Show, but now he's back with the new Netflix series My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman. One of the people he will be talking to on the first season of his return will be JAY-Z.

The format of the show features guests being interviewed inside the studio and abroad. The first season of the one-hour series will have six episodes with celebrities including Barack Obama, George Clooney, Malala Yousafzai, Tina Fey, Howard Stern and Hov.

A trailer was recently released for the upcoming series. "I had a show for a long time, and then I didn't have a show for a long time, and I can't tell you how great it is to be out of the damn house," says Letterman in the clip.

The former president will be on the inaugural episode, which debuts Jan. 12. It seemed inevitable that Letterman get back on the scene. “I got tired of people saying ‘What do you want to do?'” he told Variety about putting the show together in August. “I did what I wanted to do for 30-plus years. Netflix and the Radical brothers put this show idea together. The thing I like about it is that it fits exactly what I want to do and it’s with people I’m fond of working with. It’s not 10 hours a day, five days a week.”
