Wes Anderson Was Born In Houston And I Am Absolutely Shocked
Wes Anderson is from Houston, TX and that threw me for a huge loop. You know Wes Anderson, right? The very quirky filmmaker who lines up all their scenes to look very symmetrical and colorful?

There was even a 'Wes Anderson Trend' going around on TikTok where people would try to emulate this style in their own cities. Local photographers Christian Churches and Gibel Amador actually did one for our city on Instagram!
Bottle Rocket
Even though Bottle Rocket is a bit different from some of his other films, you can still see a lot of the style that would stick throughout Wes Andersons career.

Rushmore
Andersons second film, Rushmore, was a much bigger hit than the first and starred more actors that Wes Anderson would go on to work with extensively. This would also be the premier of a big star and another recurring actor in Andersons films, Jason Schwartzman, who acted alongside the legendary Bill Murray, who would also go on to be a regular in Andersons later movies.
Rushmore was shot in Andersons home town of Houston and even filmed at his old high school!
The style that Wes Anderson would be famous for became much more pronounced in Rushmore and as Andersons style progressed, it would become more and more iconic in the film world.
