Texas Teacher And Son Face Charges For Sex Trafficking/Prostitution Of Students

A teacher from Klein Cain High School, Kedria Grigsby, and her son, Roger Magee, stand accused on three counts of trafficking a child and three counts of compelling prostitution of juveniles. Here's what is known currently.

Details Of The Case

According to KHOU 11, Grigsby was recently placed under arrest for the crimes previously mentioned:

Ed Gonzalez, Harris County Sheriff, told the KHOU 11 the unidentified students were runaways. At the time of writing, the ages of the students were revealed to be 15, 16, and 17. Further details reveal that Grigsby is reported to have brought students into the scheme by giving them a hotel room for lodging.

In addition to housing the victims, Grigsby is also to have allegedly given transportation to the victims as well. Grigsby and Roger Magee are reported to have used Zelle for transfer of money. Grigsby's bond is currently set at $750,000, and KHOU 11 reveals that prosecutors stated more victims may come forward.

Klein ISD's Response To The Charges

KHOU 11 reports that the school was not aware of the situation until Grigsby was placed under arrest. The institution also released a statement in regards to what happened, this being a excerpt:

"Law enforcement notified us that cosmetology teacher Kedria Grigsby was taken into custody for felony charges of sex trafficking and compelling prostitution. As soon as we were notified of this information, the district took immediate action, apprehended, and immediately placed Ms. Grigsby on administrative leave. Klein ISD has NO intention of allowing this individual back to Klein Cain or any Klein ISD school, and we will report to all appropriate agencies at the conclusion of the investigation."
