The first weekend of August is always an action packed one thanks to the Bell County Comic Con. Celebrity guests, cosplay contests, games, a car show, food trucks, and more make it one of the hottest events of the year, and this year's con was no exception.

It Ain't Over 'Til It's Over

If you weren't able to make it out Saturday, you missed fantastic Q&A panels with Janet Hubert and Karyn Parons of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, original Black and Blue Power Rangers Walter Jones and David Yost, and voice actors Cal Dodd, Andy Field, Scott Innes, Josh Keaton.

But don't worry, 'cause there are still two celebrity Q&A sessions to look forward to Sunday.

Harry Potter Fans, Wands at the Ready

If you're a Harry Potter fan, put on your robe and scarf, swish and flick that wand, and rep your Hogwarts house as Ginny Weasley actress Bonnie Wright takes the stage for a celebrity Q&A. It'll be your chance to hear her talk about her experiences on set, and to ask her any question you'd like.

What's great is that you can also meet her, get an autograph, and even get a selfie with her at the Bell County Comic Con.

Hook and Avatar: The Last Airbender Fans, Get Ready to Crow

Also scheduled for an awesome Q&A is actor and voice talent Dante Bosco. If you're my age, you've known him as Rufio from Steven Spielberg's beloved live-action Peter Pan sequel, Hook. Your kids will know him as Prince Zucko from Avatar: The Last Airbender.

His Q&A panel is sure to be one to remember, and yes, you can meet him, get an autograph, and a grab a selfie at his celebrity booth.

So Many Great Guests All Right Here in Belton

Check out the Guests section at bellcountycomiccon.com. The Fresh Prince crew, Power Rangers, and a fantastic roster of actors, voice actors, wrestlers, and artists you love will be at the Cadence Bank Center Sunday for you to meet and get an autograph.

So no, you did not NOT miss out on all the fun. Sunday will be just as jam-packed with fun.

Miles and Miles of Merch

What's also great about the con are all the vendor booths.

Artists from around the world line every hall of the Cadence Bank Center. Whatever you're into, whether it's comics, anime, video games, cartoons, movies, sci-fi, or all of the above, you'll find painters, carvers, craftsmen, and even 3D print artists with unique fan merch you won't find anywhere else.

Personally, I prefer getting unique merch from independent artists rather than mass-produced stuff. You can find beautiful art that celebrates your favorite movies, shows, anime, games...anything you're passionate about.

Personally, I'm a huge Frieren: Beyond Journey's End fan, and I found these two gorgeous works at artist booths Saturday.

If you find a piece depicting one of the celebs at the Con, you can even ask them to autograph it at their booth. Then you'll really have something special.

So Much To Do

The Bell County Comic Con is very much an interactive event.

For example, the Central Texas TableToppers have a booth in Hall E, the (newish) Equine Center. They have tabletop games on display, any of which you can ask to play for free. Joey Smalls, head of the organization, loves teaching newcomers and challenging experts in tabletop gaming, so I highly recommend visiting the booth.

Temple BitBar has an arcade set up in Hall B, so you can put your skills to the test against other gamers at the con.

Many of the artists and vendors have games and challenges set up at their booths as well.

What's also cool is that there's a scavenger hunt going on at this year's Bell County Comic Con. Ask the staff about it for a chance to win some merch.

If you're bringing young kids with enough energy to power a small city, there's a huge Child Activity Zone in Hall E with inflatables and obstacles. They'll be out like lights on the drive home.

For The Fans

What's great about the Bell County Comic Con is that it's a locally owned fan convention staffed by local volunteers and geared toward local fans.

It's also a family friendly event, so folks of all ages can attend, dress in their best character costumes, and know that they'll be safe and secure right here in Belton.
