Doctor-Approved Ways To Avoid Getting Sick at Austin City Limits Next Year
Austin City Limits, also known as ACL, just wrapped up here in Central Texas. After all the music and good times, everybody has returned home. But, some festival goers have brought back the dreaded sickness known as the "ACL Flu."
What Exactly Is The "ACL Flu?"
First off, the ACL Flu is real thing. How does the city know? Well, according to KXAN, Baylor Scott & White confirmed its existence!
Per Kristi Morrow of BS&W: “It kind of is...You know, it’s because of people being around so many other people, and the dust and everything.”

But in actuality, the ACL Flu is better known as the "Festival Flu," as told by the American Lung Association. But, some people are already dealing with it probably. So, for those who are planning to go to ACL next year, is there a way to avoid it all together?
Can You Avoid Getting The "ACL Flu" All Together?
First things first, knowing how one gets the flu is the big question. So how does one get it? As stated by the American Lung Association:
“Besides being surrounded by music and friends, you may encounter dirt, pollen and even secondhand smoke... With poor access to handwashing stations, challenging weather and having too much fun to hydrate, this is the perfect storm for a virus.”
Thankfully, there is a way to avoid the ACL Flu. As stated by Morrow, people who attend the fest can rock a mask or even perhaps a bandana to stop germs from getting close to their face. In addition, items such as hand sanitizer and using a blanket to sit on while enjoying the music helps out tremendously.
So remember next year for ACL, keep those hands clean and remember to drink water!
