No. 1 Ranked Texas Upcoming Game Will Be Hard To Find On TV
Its been a long time since the Longhorns were on the top of the college football polls and rankings...I mean a really LONG TIME.
The last time the Longhorns were No. 1 was in the middle of the 2008 season, when they spent three weeks at the top before being upset by Michael Crabtree and Texas Tech. But now after a sensational start and a move to the far more competitive SEC, Texas is back on top for now.
The Longhorns Have Their First Matchup As A Number 1 Team This Season Saturday in Austin.
You would think that would lead to more EXPOSURE and one of the "big" Saturday college football shows making the move to pull into Austin this weekend but as one of the panelists on one of those shows like to say "not so fast my friend."
You see, the Longhorns are facing the 2-0 UL Monroe Warhawks at DKR Memorial Stadium. The Warhawks are one of the smallest D-1 schools in all of college football and many believe this matchup won't even be close with Texas expected to win BIG.
But the Warhawks are lead by a QB with one of the greatest names ever: General Booty. (Yes that is his REAL name.)
With That Said, The No. 1 Team In The Country Won't Appear On Regular TV This Weekend.
If you want to watch this game, you're going to have to do some work and maybe whip out your credit card because this game won't be seen on regular network TV or cable. Saturday nights game will be airing on the SEC Network+.
SEC Network+ is a complementary digital platform providing hundreds of additional digital only events to fans through the ESPN App on connected devices. SEC Network+ is not a television channel. It is accessible with your TV provider credentials and is available via the ESPN App on smartphones, tablets, connected streaming devices or espn.com/watch.
In summation, good luck.
