New Applebee’s and IHOP Combination Restaurant Set to Debut in San Antonio, Texas in 2025
Everyone in Texas sometimes craves a new food.
It's ok to be honest, sometimes we get tired of the food we see everyday right? One can only eat the same thing once or twice in back to back days right? Everyone needs a little variety now and again right?
So when a new eatery is set to debut, it is a moment many look forward to. But, what if the combo is two eateries a person already knows about? That'd be a new one right?
Well for the state of Texas, a combo of familiar restaurants is set to debut for the first time right here in the Lone Star State. But did you ever think these were the ones teaming up?
Applebee's And IHOP Combo Eatery Set To Debut In Texas
Yes, you read that right. These two brands that everybody might know in the state of Texas will be joining together in one restaurant for the first time. But how did this come about?
As reported by CNN Business, Dine Brands, owner of both Applebee's and IHOP, revealed that this idea came to be following low revenue reports. Per the brand, Applebee’s third quarter earnings were 6% lower, and IHOP suffered a 2.1% drop.
As stated by head of analytical research at Placer.ai R.J. Hottovy to CNN:
“The idea behind the dual-branded IHOP-Applebee’s is pretty straightforward: getting better utilization out of a store by combining brands that traditionally serve different dayparts...By operating both brands out of a single store and utilizing a shared kitchen, the company is looking to drive visits throughout the full day and reduce the costs of operating two separate restaurants."
So if you're wondering where the first edition of the eatery will be in Texas, it'll be near San Antonio, 35 miles west of the city to be exact. So once again, a first in America is happening in Texas.
