Oh-No, In Case You Missed It, HEB Voluntarily Issues Ice Cream Recall
Stop! Before you dig into that half gallon of ice cream, you should read this first.
According to a press release form H-E-B, the Texas grocery chain is recalling certain half gallons due to mislabeling.
H-E-B Voluntary Recall
Check the freezer, if you have a half gallon of H-E-B Creamy Creations Light Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream, there has been a recall. H-E-B issued a voluntary recall on August 1 because of a mislabeling issue.
H-E-B Creamy Creations Light Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream contains wheat, a known allergen but it's not declared on the label.

According to the press release,
"The issue was discovered when H-E-B Creamy Creations Light Cookies & Cream Ice Cream was identified in some cartons labeled as H-E-B Creamy Creations Light Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream. H-E-B Creamy Creations Light Cookies & Cream Ice Cream contains wheat as an ingredient."
The press release also state's that there have been no reported illnesses to date.
Texas and Mexico
The recall is in effect for anywhere the product was sold in Texas and Mexico H-E-B's and Mi Tienda stores in Texas.
Anyone who wants to return the items can take them to their nearest H-E-B store for a full refund.
