The change is designed to better serve the community by providing more access to city services outside of the traditional 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. workday. Going forward, administrative offices will be open Monday through Thursday, with new hours from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Departments such as the Harker Heights Police, Public Works, Animal Control, Parks and Recreation, and emergency services will not be affected by this change. These departments will continue to operate on their regular schedules, including on-call and emergency response services, the city stated.
