Anyone who knows me knows I’m all about good eats—especially when I can find them in Central Texas. I’m usually focused on Killeen, Harker Heights, Nolanville, and Temple, with the Belton area being one of the places where I genuinely look for great food.

You Won't Believe the Incredible Flavors Hiding Inside This Harker Heights Shop

Recently, I drove past a place that, if you didn’t know Harker Heights, you might not even realize it was there. It turns out it’s by far one of the best Caribbean spots I’ve had—and I think it might be the only Caribbean restaurant in Harker Heights.

Your Guide to the Most Authentic Caribbean Meal in Harker Heights

The Shack Caribbean Seafood & Grill has some of the freshest and most delicious seafood dishes I’ve had in a while. They also put their own spin on signature Caribbean dishes like stuffed plantains, ceviche, empanadas, seafood boils, octopus, and conch, just to name a few. You definitely don’t want to miss their amazing food or their signature sauces.

I’m personally obsessed with the white wine garlic sauce. I could eat that all by itself! I like to dip mofongo in the sauce and just go to town.
