Happy Birthday Erykah Badu: Melz 5 Favorite Badu Jams
Today we celebrate Erykah Badu's 46th birthday and by far away she's one of my favorite artists EVER. Her free spirit, twitter fingers, and music are amazing and she continues to create great music! Let's look at a few of my favorite jams from Ms. Badu!

"Didn't Cha Know"
From the opening bass guitar riffs and the angelic sounds of her background singers, you knew this was goodness from the start. From her 2000 "Mama's Gun" album, "Didn't Cha Know" is still smoother than silk and so groovy!

"Love Of My Life (An Ode To Hip Hop)"
Her "Ode To Hip Hop" is one of the realest songs she's ever wrote! Love the video even more as she pays homage to the old and new school!

"Window Seat"
NO I'M NOT PICKING THIS SONG BECAUSE OF THE VIDEO... Okay maybe I am... but the song is undeniable!

"Sometimes"
A personal favorite of mine from "Baduizm", gotta love the way she flows over this track as she laments over how she feels "sometimes" about her lover.

"Otherside Of The Game"
I have always loved this song from the second I heard it. Its my favorite song by Erykah, as she sings so soulfully about the love she has for someone who lives the "hustlers" lifestyle.
- Bonus
"Cell U Lar Device" (Hotline Bling Remix)
A bonus one from her recent "mixtape" "But You Cain't Use My Phone", Love the way she took Drake's smash and made it EVEN BETTER!
