This Is the Top Harker Heights, TX Thai Restaurant You Must Try

I have made it my mission to find all of the hidden gems in Central Texas when it comes to delicious food, and this place did not disappoint. Grandma's Thai in Harker Heights, Texas is by far the best Thai food I’ve ever had in my life.

Grandma Thai is located at 600 Indian Trail Suite 204 in Harker Heights.

I should say upfront that Thai food is my absolute favorite, so I can be very picky about the places I go.

With that in mind, let me say this: if you wanted to define the essence of Thai food, it's all about balance and achieving the perfect harmony between sweet, sour, hot, and salty. Grandma's Thai Cuisine gets it just right, and I’ve never been to a place that had such great customer service paired with such fantastic Thai cuisine.

They're able to perfectly balance dozens of fresh herbs and spices with salt, and even tempered with sugar to offset by acids such as lemon and lime. I can almost promise you the moment you taste a single dish, you will become a loyal customer like myself.

By the way, they have great vegan options as well, but if you really want to get your bang for your buck I suggest getting the chicken lab, mixed vegetable stir-fry, or the tummy YUM soup.

A while back, I asked the good people of Temple if they could picture a good restaurant to fill the lot on North General Bruce Drive where the soon to be torn down Long John Silver's stood.

This was before it was announced that a Dutch Bros. Coffee location would open there (which was one of the places I predicted as a contender in our article).

So now Dutch Bros. is open in that spot, but the responses to my survey were interesting because they paint a picture of just how diverse Temple's population is. People recommended some familiar restaurants with locations in the surrounding area, but also a few I'd never even heard of.
