Don’t Get Sidelined: Your Central Texas Flu Season Survival Guide
In Central Texas, it’s that time of year when just about everyone falls victim to flu season — myself included. Itchy eyes, runny nose, congestion, coughing, and fever... It’s all too common this time of year.

Hand sanitizer isn’t just a cute decoration for your keychain — make sure to actually use it every time you enter or leave a public space. Stocking up on over-the-counter medicine is a must during this time of year. And last but not least: Even though COVID is still around (despite how many people act like it’s ancient history), try to keep a respectful distance — six feet apart is still a good rule of thumb. Now, I can’t guarantee that doing all of this will completely protect you from the flu, but it’ll definitely help reduce your chances of getting walloped.
Stay safe and healthy out there, Texas.
