Everybody's got a hustle. One Texas Juvenile Justice Department employee figured out how to hustle his way into a second business of moving fajitas on the taxpayers dime but his bosses have caught on but not before it cost the taxpayers over a MILLION dollars.

According to The Brownsville Herald, Gilberto Escamilla, an employee at the Cameron County Juvenile Justice Department, was arrested for first degree felony theft after an investigation by Cameron County District Attorney’s Office uncovered that over a 9 year span, Escamilla had been ordering fajitas from the department's food service company, then sell them to customers he already had on standby.

The hustle scam totaled out to the tune of $1.2 MILLION DOLLARS in fajitas over the span of 9 years.

After gathering documents from Labatt Food Service and the County Auditor’s Office, which included invoices, vouchers and purchase orders, the investigations unit concluded that Escamilla had stolen $1,251,578 worth of fajitas. - The Brownsville Herald

Of course, Escamilla has been fired from the department, and when officers searched Escamilla’s house, they found packets of fajitas in his refrigerator.
