If you've got some sensitive documents lying around and aren't sure how to safely dispose of them, the City of Temple, Kwik Kopy, RW Lone Star Security, and Holy Trinity Catholic High School can help.

They're hosting a secure shred event at Holy Trinity, 6608 W. Adams Avenue in Temple, from 9 AM to 11 AM Saturday, May 5th.

Temple-area residents and businesses can bring up to three bankers boxes of documents to be shredded, and you can watch the entire process to be sure everything's destroyed.

RW Lone Star Security's destruction procedure follows local and federal guidelines, they're National Association of Information Destruction (NAID) certified, and are FACTA and HIPAA complaint, so you know your documents are being shredded into oblivion by pros.

There's just one issue you should be aware of - the shredding equipment can't be exposed to rain, and can't shred wet documents, so the event will be cancelled if it rains. Hopefully these storms have moved out by then. If not, the next shred day will be in November.
