Estelle Performs ‘Conqueror’ With Jussie Smollett During ‘Empire’ Tribute at 2015 Billboard Music Awards [VIDEO]
Singer Estelle participated in a two-song medley in honor of Fox’s juggernaut series Empire and its accompanying soundtrack at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday (May 17).
The British songbird was joined by Empire stars Jussie Smollett and Bryshere “Yazz” Gray for the performance.
Estelle and Smollett kicked things off by singing the inspiring hit “Conqueror,” off her True Romance album. Smollett, dressed in a burgundy-colored suit, sang the first verse from the song, while Estelle followed with the second verse. The R&B songbird looked like a warrior in her all-black ensemble, which revealed her ample bosoms and muscular biceps.
At the end of their performance, both Estelle and Smollet raised their fists in the air in a symbol of power and, yes, fierceness.
Afterward, Gray performed his song "You're So Beautiful” flanked by several beautiful dancers.
We are a little disappointed that Gray didn’t perform “Drip Drop,” which has become a fan favorite song from the series.
In the end, the guys of Empire are taking the music and television world by storm. We can’t wait to see what the dynamic duo is going to bring musically on the second season of Empire coming this fall.
Watch Estelle, Smollett and Gray join forces above.
