Before we get truly excited about putting up Christmas decorations and buying turkeys for Thanksgiving, let’s not forget that November 2 is election day!

Now if you were a person who believes that the government is rigged and it doesn’t matter if you vote or don’t vote, this message is not for you.

I get frustrated each year about this because when people say things like that my first thought is that if you didn’t vote, you really don't have any business complaining about the outcome or the policies are that are enacted as a result.  I'm not trying to come off as offensive. I just truly believe there’s no say to be had in anything if you’re not going to try to at least do something about it on election day.

Again, Election day is Tuesday, November 2, and it is up to you to get to the polls if you don’t like certain situations in your city or the state. I cannot stress how important it is to vote. When I was younger, I didn’t understand how serious it was for some of us. But this determines our livelihood, the way we live, the houses we live in, the money we make, and so much more.

If you're not sure where to vote in your town, here's a list of polling locations in Bell County. Here are places to vote if you're out in Coryell County. In case you didn't know, there are amendments to the Texas constitution on the ballot this year, so check out this article for information about them.

 

I say this again with all sincerity in this article: please go out and vote, because if you don’t and something happens you don’t like in regards to any type of law, we don’t want to hear your opinion.
